Quick Treatment                    

BOTOX treatment does not require anesthesia, but we may apply topical creams or ice to help minimize discomfort. Dr. Dowell will first mark injection sites like your eyelids, forehead, or cheeks, then inject the botulinum toxin into the underlying muscles. That is all that this powerful aesthetic-enhancing procedure requires.        

Swift Results                    

BOTOX is non-invasive and allows patients to resume their normal routines immediately after treatment. Your results may become evident within one or two days, with full benefits becoming clear within the month. These results can last for as long as six months before additional treatment is required to maintain them.

BOTOX Treatment Has Some Potential Side Effects                                

We pride ourselves on being upfront about expected results and potential side effects of BOTOX. After treatment, you may experience temporary pain, redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. Facial drooping and eyelid drooping may also occur. We offer BOTOX for cosmetic purposes, not to treat medical conditions. Unfortunately, insurance plans do not cover BOTOX when it's administered purely for aesthetic purposes.

Botulinum toxin injections are the most popular minimally invasive cosmetic procedure in the United States. This includes the most prominent botulinum toxin product, BOTOX, as well as competitors like Dysport® and XEOMIN®.
